What is more exciting than adopting a Boxer puppy. There are so many new things that you get to do, but the first thing you must do is pick out a name. With some many great names out there, it is hard to choose. Remember that you are going to call your puppy by that name for many many years to come. It has to be a name that you like and will use. It is best to stick to short names, because if you pick a long name, many short variations of that name are soon to follow. Short names are also easier for your puppy to learn. You need to pick a name and stay with it. Do not call your dog something different each time, it will only confuse him. For instance if your puppies name is Kasey, it is not a good idea to call her Kase, or K.K. You would only prolong her learning her name and coming when being called. It is also a good idea to end your Boxers name with a long "e" sound. When we say "e" we tend to add some extra emphasis that intern makes the dog learn and listen better. Some examples of these names are Katie, Sydney, Dixie, Trixie, Daisy, and Toby. If you are having trouble picking a name, I suggest you look for a name with meaning. Match the meaning up to your puppies personality. There are many helpful websites that list names with their meanings. Go to any search engine and type in Puppy Names, or Dog Names. The name of your Boxer is very important, because it will define him/her for the rest of their lives. Take your time and chose the perfect name for your new Boxer.
